What You Need to Know

Splish Splash is a seasonal water park and we are looking for team members who are available to work Memorial Day through Labor Day. We are looking to fill a variety of work schedules, including weekends and holidays.

Applicants must be at least 14 years of age or older for some positions, see job descriptions for specific requirements. Service with a smile and a guest friendly attitude is a MUST. You will be working outdoors throughout a variety of weather conditions. Applicants must be able to walk/stand for up to 8 hours at a time. Daily responsibilities include providing a safe environment by enforcing general park and safety rules and interacting with guests. No prior experience or training is needed; we will provide all necessary training to ensure your success.

Overview:

We will train you here at the park to be a certified Lifeguard, and the best part is.. the class is •Free! Splish Splash offers the Lifeguard Course free of charge! Lifeguards actively guard all pools, activity areas, and slide attractions. Candidate must complete and maintain the E&A (Ellis & Associates) certification that will be provided by Splish Splash Waterpark. Lifeguards are required to; continuously swim in a Front Crawl or Breaststroke (on their stomach facing forward) swim without stopping for 200 yards (183 Meters), tread water for two minutes with hands above the water, and retrieve a 10 pound (4.5 Kilogram) brick from the bottom of a pool that is up to 10 feet (3 Meters) to receive the E&A ILTP License. This includes intermediate swimming skills while your head is under water. Lifeguards must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time, and be in various depths of water (ranging from ankle deep to chest deep) for 30 minutes to an hour throughout the duration of their shift. Applicants must be at least 16 years old by first day of work to apply. All candidates are expected to endure moderate inclement weather including temperature..

Additional Tasks:

• Continually enforce all Park rules while dispatching and attending all slides and attractions.
• Providing exceptional guest service including but not limited to provide information and direction to guest as needed
• Provide a safe and clean facility by effectively managing attractions and grounds
• Provide In-Water Rescues, CPR, and/or First Aid as needed.
• Provide assistance in other departments, including but not limited to, Landscaping

Additional Qualifications:

• Must have a vision of 20/25 or 20/25 corrected vision, and always wear corrective lens or lenses to assure 20/25 vision while on duty.
• Must have strong communication skills, a friendly, positive attitude, and be dedicated to customer service.
• Must be attentive to guests and knowledgeable of the property to assist them.
• Must be able to work as a team or individually
• Must be flexible and able to work where they are needed.
• Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintaining instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Must have the ability to read, write, and speak in English
• Must have the ability to understand and respond to verbal instructions.
• Must have a friendly, positive attitude and be dedicated to customer service.
• Must be able to life up to 75 pounds.

Overview:

Ride Attendants are required to have good communication skills and provide good continuous customer service. They will be directing guest on the proper riding positions and safety for the various rides in the park. Ride Attendants must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time, and be in various depths of water (ranging from ankle deep to waist deep) for 30 minutes to an hour throughout the duration of their shift. Applicants must be 15 years old by first day of work to apply. . All candidates are expected to endure moderate inclement weather including temperature.

Overview:

Cashiers play a pivotal role in various operations and guest experiences throughout different locations at the park. The key to a great Cashier is always having a smile on their face, being interactive and proactive with the guests, and being able to answer any questions about the park. Cashiers must be friendly, great at communication, and outgoing! Cashiers will be able to learn about different areas of the park as they will be able to work in food & beverage, admissions, parking lot, and retail.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Interacting with and greeting the guests
• Providing excellent customer service
• Ringing up sales accurately and efficiently
• Being accountable and accurate on cash handling Additional Duties and Responsibilities
• Working required hours scheduled while following all labor laws • Complying with and enforcing all Splish Splash policies • Communicating appropriate department-, park- or team-related concerns to the Leadership Team, • Following Supervisors’ and Managers’ directions

Skills and Qualifications:

• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Must be at least 14 years of age
• The ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language
• Good analytical problem solving and cash-handling skills
• Must possess good interpersonal skills
• Previous guest related experience is preferred, but not required

Overview:

There are a variety of restaurants located throughout the park, such as Johnny Rockets, Pink's Hot Dogs, the Snack Shack and Boardwalk. Each area requires a team of cooks to prepare the menu items. Team members will be trained on recipe and equipment specifications. Cleanliness, safety, speed, and teamwork are important parts of this position. Applicants must be 16 years of age or older.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain quality in the preparation and service of food and beverage operations
• Smile and attend to the needs of park guests
• Maintain a high degree of cleanliness and sanitation
• Assure preparation of fresh, quality food for all guests while maintaining the proper level of cleanliness
• Following company policies and Suffolk County Health Department regulations, safety protocols, cleanliness, and organization
• Working required hours scheduled while following all labor laws.
• Perform other job related duties as assigned

Overview:

Team members are responsible for accurate receiving of deliveries by unloading trucks and counting quantities to verify amounts, rotating stock, product inventories as well as delivery and stocking of remote food locations. Team members will at times encounter heavy lifting and work inside storage coolers/freezers. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Unload trucks
• Match proper quantities from packing slips to material received
• Maintain cleanliness in the warehouse
• Proper storage of material received
• Fill pick slips for food building, deliver, and properly store in designated buildings
• Participate in pricing as necessary
• Assist in routine maintenance of forklift and park utility vehicles as directed
• Perform other job related duties as assigned

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to frequently lift, carry or move items weighing up to 50lbs.
