Splish Splash Water Park Makes Waves for Local Heroes

New York’s Largest Water Park^® Offers Discounted Admission to Local Heroes & Hosts Annual Touch-a-Truck Event

CALVERTON, NY [August 13, 2026] – Long Island’s Splish Splash Water Park is inviting local heroes to trade their uniforms for their swimsuits during a day of relaxation. From Monday, August 17 through Friday, August 21, New York’s Largest Water Park® will host its annual Hero Appreciation Week.

Throughout the week, local heroes including police officers, firefighters, first responders, military members including active duty, retired and veterans, and healthcare professionals are invited to receive exclusive admission discounts. Heroes can purchase discounted one-day tickets for $44.99 each for themselves and up to five additional guests, a $30 savings off standard gate pricing. Hero Appreciation Week tickets go on sale on August 17 both at the Splish Splash Main Gate and park website. To redeem the discount, guests can show their identification at the park’s Main Gate.

“Our local heroes spend all year looking out for everyone else, so Hero Appreciation Week is our chance to put them first and give them a well-deserved day of fun and relaxation,” says General Manager Mike Bengtson. “We are proud to open our gates for the brave individuals who keep Long Island safe, healthy, and strong.”

As a part of the week long festivities, Splish Splash will welcome several local organizations for its annual Touch-a-Truck Day on Tuesday, August 18. The Riverhead Police Department, Riverhead Fire Department, Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance, Riverhead U.S. Army Recruit, and 106 Rescue Wing New York Air National Guard will be on site to offer park guests a behind the scenes look at life as a first responder.

Guests can sit in a fire truck, check out a patrol car, grab fun photos and interact with these local heroes to learn more about working in these important public safety positions. The event will run from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Beginning right now, Splish Splash will run its best Season Pass deal of the season where guests save up to $50 on 2027 Season Passes. These passes include access to the park for the rest of the 2026 season and for the entire 2027 season. Plus, Gold and Platinum Passholders can visit Neon Nights for free with their Season Pass and receive free parking. The park’s newest event, Neon Nights, runs Fridays and Saturdays through Saturday, August 15. The electric event under the stars invites families to glow with the flow from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m.
