A Letter from our General Manager, Mike Bengtson
To our Passholders, Guests and the Communities We Serve,
For more than three decades, Splish Splash has been more than just a water park, it’s a place where your family can laugh together, begin timeless traditions, and create summer memories.
My name is Mike Bengtson, and I have had the pleasure of serving as General Manager of Splish Splash Water Park since 2005. Over my 21 years of service, I have had the privilege of watching generations of families grow up here at the park. From first visits with toddlers splashing in the kiddie areas to teenagers racing down slides with friends, and now parents returning with children of their own. My own family included. Seeing these family traditions continue has been one of the greatest joys of my career.
Splish Splash first opened its gates in 1991 and was founded by Tony Gentile and Chip Cleary. Over the past 36 seasons, the park has expanded across 96 acres and grown into New York’s Largest Water Park, complete with thrilling water slides, two wave pools, unique dining options, and more, all wrapped in the special Splish Splash charm our guests know and love.
This year, we are excited to share that Splish Splash is returning to its roots as a family-owned destination, under Herschend, the largest family-held themed attractions company, where our mission of Bringing Families Closer Together by Creating Memories Worth Repeating® remains at the heart of everything we do.
From the moment you step through our gates this summer, you’ll see our commitment to creating memorable experiences throughout the park. Guests can enjoy enhancements to some of our most popular attractions, including additional lighting, immersive theming, and H2Go Single Ride Passes at Dr. Von Dark’s Tunnel of Terror, along with new dining locations like The Splish Splash Diner and All About Dogs, offering unique and elevated flavors.
In addition to the upgrades throughout the park, we have also expanded some of our most popular events. Neon Nights, our all-new family-friendly nighttime experience, will now feature more lighting, strolling entertainment, themed retail, and specialty food and beverage offerings for you and your family to enjoy together.
